position summary
support design activities (simulation, dimensioning, review, t&c) for power supply and distribution system, ps&d engineer simulation.the position will start in hq and may require the applicant to be later assigned on a project site, then requiring technical supoprt to qa/qc team for inspection (audit, installation or t&c).collect ps&d data for compliance matrix process and rams (bid process and project phase)
support and report for power supply design activities.
language ability :excellent communication skills in english (written and oral)
traveling: asia-pacific. protection coordination and power consupmtion anaylses, shrot cirucit, haromnic and power fatcor, genreal knowledge of load flow.support lead engineer upon provdiing all necessary data to interface/integration team for the ps&d systems.
experience in transit applications is a definitive asset, in particular with respect to power rail or overhead catenary.
willingness to use applicable simulation software/tools.work with lead engineer to define/collect ps&d data for compliance matrix process.
carry out ps&d simulations and dimensioning under the supervision and guidance of the lead ps&d engineer
review/prepare design for ps&d systems based on simulations
prepare/ present reviews, reports.
support timely availability of design documentation for substations and overhead line. assist in preparing "workaround" plans to mitigate adverse effects of delays on the contract schedule (ps&d activity)
education required: bachelors degree inelectrical engineeringor equivalent education and experience.
