job function provide 24/7 support for qualcomms global operation support center in taipei, taiwan
skills/experience perform day-to-day application administration and maintenance of veritas netback up datacenter products used for enterprise backup and recovery services.
work with connected application assisting with restores as well as escalated issues
perform prolbem management using serivce-now ticketing system and custom reporting tools for most activities.
provide centralized communication/notification to the global qualcomm it environment
provide support in managing bakcup tape library responsibilities
provide tier 2 software support for b&l associates vertices used for tape media management.
provide tier 2 after-hours support and triage for end-user prolbems.
provide support for email/messaging services including mailbox maintenance, live meeting and support for other microsoft based messaging proudcts
troubelshoot backup harwdare infrasrtucture problems and plcae service calls when problem cannot be resolved.
support and troubleshooting for server related problems
troubleshoot and resolve client-side backup software problems.
work closely with tier 3 organizations and vendors to resolve difficult backup infrastructure problems.
produce reports with cognos
responsibilities this itoc- it engineer position is part of a team that supports a global 24/7 environment that requires multiple disciplines ranging from symantec netbackup to network and server triage/resolution
education requirements preferred: bachelor\'s, computer science and/or information technology or equivalent experience.
perform consolidated event management for all of qualcomm it using centauri.
